Dr. Anupa Mandava
Dr. Anupa Mandava graduated from The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science and Major in Biology. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the American University of the Caribbean where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Phi Honor Society and Service Society.
Dr. Mandava completed her intern year at Flushing Hospital where she was awarded “Intern of the Year.” This was followed by an ophthalmology residency at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center/NYMC Brooklyn & Queens. Dr. Mandava served as chief resident in her final year, teaching and supervising junior resident physicians. She then completed a medical and surgical vitreoretinal diseases fellowship with the Eye Specialty Group in Memphis, TN. Following her training she worked in private practice for four years at Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers. She is now looking forward to serving the greater Louisville area as a solo practitioner.
Dr. Mandava specializes in the medical and surgical management of retinal diseases. This includes uveitis, retinal occlusions, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and ocular trauma.
